I love Pondarosa pines. I love this set.
The teapot is giving Pondarosa pine tree bark - thick, puzzle pieces of bark in all different shades of brown with a bit a flowy glow when the sun hits mid-day.
The cup is giving the fabulous greens of the needles on the exterior and the incredible reflection of those majestic trees at lakes edge inside the bowl.
Hand-thrown, hand-glazed, and hand-signed using a brown stoneware produced in Montana.
I create in small batches. Each piece is thrown and hand-crafted in the likeness of the next. I hope you’ll agree variations in color, small marks from the minerals and stone in the clay, or slight sways in design resulting from working with natural materials create the charm expected and treasured in handmade pottery.
