Soup Bowl with handle: Mountain Flower Honey #1
Only have three of these shallow soup bowls at this time. All are listed in this shop update...
This bowl is a tad bit more shallow than the other single handled soup bowls with a bit wider opening at the top.
Inspired by some charming, vintage brown stoneware soup bowls. Rounded at the bottom with a slight carved foot, it will stack and store in the cupboard waiting for the next cool breeze and drizzly afternoon when a bowl of soup, stew, or chili is just the ticket to bring comfort and to warm a person's spirits.
Specially designed to celebrate our love for honeybees and all things wild and free.
The glaze is the result of 5 years of testing to perfect the color match to the honey produced by our honeybees in our tiny apiary. We live at a sub-alpine level so our bees live a very wild and free life, foraging on mountain wildflowers.
Hand-thrown, hand-stamped, and hand-signed using sturdy and functional brown stoneware clay manufactured in Montana. Each bowl is hand-brushed with at least 6 coats of glazing, ensuring a durable finish. These bowls are built to last, made to be used and bring a little smile to your day.
I don’t work using production methods. Each piece is thrown in the likeness of the next, hand-crafted, and with hand-brushed glazing. I hope you’ll agree variations in color, small marks from the minerals and stone in the clay, or slight sways in design resulting from working with natural materials and create the charm expected and treasured in handmade pottery.
Food-safe materials. Dishwasher and microwave safe, although I hand-wash.
