Yarn Bowl: Mountain Flower Honey #1
Yarn Bowl for Your Wool
Specially designed by a knitting, crocheting, hand-spinning potter to keep your venturing yarn balls in check while you ponder the simple pleasures in life.
The glaze is the result of 5 years of testing to perfect the color match to the honey produced by our honeybees in our tiny apiary. We live at a sub-alpine level so our bees live a very wild and free life, foraging on mountain wildflowers.
Hand-thrown, hand-carved, hand-stamped, and hand-signed using durable and functional brown stoneware clay produced in Montana. Each bowl is hand-carved, smoothed, and hand-brushed with at least 6 coats of glazing, ensuring even the most delicate yarns and fibers will glide on the pot’s surface with no snagging.
I don’t work using production methods. Each piece is thrown in the likeness of the next, hand-crafted, and with hand-brushed glazing. I hope you’ll agree variations in color, small marks from the minerals and stone in the clay, or slight sways in design resulting from working with natural materials and create the charm expected and treasured in handmade pottery.
