Important: A tea towel or chabu is recommended to be used under this teaboat. The outside rim on the tray is a bit shallow from glaze pooling on the outer edge of the tray. As a result, if your tea session gets a bit splishy splashy, the edge of the tray may get overwhelmed with water or tea and some may run over the edge onto your table.

This teaboat is large enough to hold a brewing vessel, 2 cups or a cup and a gong dao bei, and a small teapet. It is designed to provide 2 options for use: the tray with drainage can sit on top of the bowl as one option, or the bowl can be used as a teaboat alone.

I create in small batches. Each piece is thrown and hand-crafted in the likeness of the next. I hope you’ll agree variations in color, small marks from the minerals and stone in the clay, or slight sways in design resulting from working with natural materials create the charm expected and treasured in handmade pottery.
