A little nod to the Jingdezhen blue and white porcelain teaware created during the Yuan Dynasty in the 14th century, of course, with some modern twists.

The flowers in the floral pattern were each hand pieced onto the pot to ensure any angle brings cheerful blossoms to view. Many tests were made to get the level of bluebird skies blue in the celadon glaze just right. The glaze is ombred from bottom to top of the exterior of the pot to compliment the cobalt blue pattern while allowing it to shine through the glaze.

Hand-thrown, hand-decorated surface, hand-brushed glaze, and hand-signed using sturdy and functional porcelain made from a very special, very white, very translucent Halloysite kaolin from New Zealand produced in Canada. Porcelain doesn't get much better than this, it feels like glass in the hand.

I create in small batches. Each piece is thrown and hand-crafted in the likeness of the next. I hope you’ll agree variations in color, small marks from the minerals and stone in the clay, or slight sways in design resulting from working with natural materials create the charm expected and treasured in handmade pottery.
